Instructions

1. Decide whether you wish to make clary sage oil or regular sage oil, and purchase the type of essential oil you want. Both types have health and aromatherapy benefits, but clary sage is also used to massage the abdomen in order to alleviate menstrual pain. Clary sage oil has a less distinct aroma than regular sage. It is basically a matter of personal preference. Both essential oils can be found in most health food stores.

2. Measure four ounces of organic sweet almond oil into a medium or large measuring cup, or any container with a pouring spout.

3. Add 20 drops of sage essential oil to the sweet almond oil. Then add five drops of lavender essential oil. Using the wire whisk, thoroughly mix these ingredients.

4. Transfer the mixture into small clean bottles, using the funnel. Your aromatic sage oil will be ready to use in 24 hours. A few drops placed under the running water in a warm bath will provide you with a healthful and relaxing experience. When used as a massage oil, it can help to eliminate muscular tension and stress.
