Make Award Winning Pecan Pie


This pecan pie recipe is full of sweet buttery goodness! Add this to my Recipe Box.


Instructions


1. Follow instructions on make the perfect pie crust below. Bake for 25-40 minutes or until crust is lightly browned.

2. Pre heat oven to 350 degrees. Spread pecans on a large rimmed baking sheet and toast for 7-8 minutes. Nuts will be fragrant and appear slightly darker when done. Remove from oven and set aside.


3. In a medium sized sauce pan melt butter. Add brown sugar, granulated sugar, corn syrup, vanilla, cream, flour and salt. Whisk, continuously until smooth and well combined. Remove from heat and cool slightly, then set aside.


4. In a large mixing bowl, lightly beat eggs. Gradually whisk in sugar mixture until all ingredients are fully incorporated.


5. Place toasted pecans in pie shell. Pour filling over the nuts and bake for 45-55 minutes. Filling should be set but not firm when finished. Allow pie to sit for 20-30 minutes before cutting or serving.
