Apply For Louisiana Food Stamps

Food stamp programs make sure everyone can afford food.

With the down economy, money is tight for for most people. Some can't even afford necessities such as food for themselves and their families. The government has come up with ways to assist those in need. One such program is the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP,) previously known as the Food Stamp Program. Each state has a set of rules and requirements regarding their SNAP application process. The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services administers SNAP in the state. Applicants must meet certain income guidelines and have proof of need.
