Make Chicken Breasts On The Grill

Learn flavorful tasty chicken breasts.

If you're a meat eater who is looking for ways to reduce the amount of fat in your diet, consider eating more chicken. The leanest part of the chicken is the chicken breast, which has less than half the fat of a T-bone steak, according to The World's Healthiest Foods website. When purchasing chicken breasts, look for skinless breasts, which have the lowest fat content. Grilling is a quick way to cook chicken breasts using dry heat that helps lock in their tenderness and flavor. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Instructions

1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

2. Rinse the chicken breasts under cool running water. Pat dry with paper towels.

3. Rub olive oil on both sides of the chicken breasts. Sprinkle with black pepper and salt.

4. Place the chicken breasts on the grill. Grill undisturbed for 10 to 14 minutes for bone-in chicken breasts and 6 to 10 minutes for boneless.

5. Turn the chicken breasts over using long-handled tongs. Grill 8 to 10 minutes. Insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the chicken breast. Remove the chicken breasts from the grill when their internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F.

6. Place the chicken breasts on a serving platter.
