Cooking Directions For Uncle Ben'S Rice

Uncle Ben's Rice makes for a healthy addition to any meal.


Uncle Ben's Converted Original Rice has 25% more cooked rice per cup than regular cooked rice, according to the official Uncle Ben's website. Uncle Ben's rice is enriched with vitamins and iron and has been certified by the American Heart Association. Some additional benefits of Uncle Ben's rice is that it is sodium and cholesterol free, has 0 grams of trans fat and is also gluten free. Add this to my Recipe Box.


Instructions


1. Measure 1 cup of Uncle Ben's rice for four servings. Pour the rice into a saucepan.


2. Measure 2 1/4 cups water and pour into the saucepan with the rice.


3. Add 1 tbsp. butter to rice and water.


4. Turn on the stove and bring water and rice mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low. Cover the saucepan.


5. Cook for 20 minutes.


6. Let the rice cool down for about five minutes, with the cover still on the saucepan, before serving.
