Create Organic Beauty Products

Add sugar to any product to create a natural exfoliator.


Look no further than your refrigerator or pantry to find numerous ingredients you can whip together to create an organic beauty product. Use organic fruits, oils and grains to save time and money on your beauty regimen. Consider your face and hair needs before mixing up a product. For example, acne-prone skin benefits from lemon juice but this citrus may also dry out sensitive skin. Does this Spark an idea?


Instructions


Acne and Age-Spot Fighting Mask


1. Mix together 2 tbsp. honey, 4 tsp. lemon juice, 3 tsp. plain yogurt and 1 egg white.


2. Whisk mixture together for 30 seconds.


3. Apply mixture to the face with finger tips. Avoid mouth and eye area.


4. Leave mask on for 15 minutes.


5. Rinse off with warm water.


Hair Repair Mask


6. Mash up one very ripe banana in a bowl.


7. Squeeze 3 drops of essential almond oil into the bowl.


8. Stir mixture together.


9. Apply mixture to your hair.


10. Wait 15 minutes and then rinse hair thoroughly.


Eye Makeup Remover


11. Pour 1 tbsp. castor oil, 1 tbsp. light olive oil and 2 tbsp. canola oil into a canning jar.


12. Twist the lid onto the jar.


13. Shake the jar vigorously.


14. Lightly dip cotton ball in mixture and use to gently remove eye makeup. Mixture will keep for six months


Banana Balm


15. Pour ¼ cup of milk and ¼ cup of whipped cream in microwavable bowl.


16. Microwave mixture for 10 seconds.


17.Mix together 2 tbsp. coconut, and 1 tbsp. olive oil in separate bowl.


18. Mash ½ banana thoroughly with a fork.


19. Scrape banana into the bowl containing warm milk and whipped cream.


20. Stir mixture thoroughly.


21. Microwave mixture for 10 seconds.


22. Place mixture in refrigerator to cool. Dip finger in mixture and apply to lips for a lip balm. Or apply mixture to dry feet, knees or elbows.
