Thaw & Bake Bread

Make homemade bread in a matter of minutes.

If you're craving fresh-baked bread but don't have time to make the dough from scratch, use frozen bread dough. Bread made from frozen dough will be just as crusty and delicious as bread made from fresh dough. You can also make a loaf of bread using dough that you made from scratch and froze for later use. Thaw the frozen dough to the correct temperature prior to baking it to ensure the best texture and flavor. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Instructions

1. Place the frozen dough in a greased bread pan. Cover the pan with plastic wrap.

2. Thaw the dough in a refrigerator for three to 16 hours or at room temperature for two to eight hours. Check the thawed dough's internal temperature with a food thermometer to make sure it is between 75 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit; the dough will rise as it thaws.

3. Preheat an oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Remove the plastic wrap and place the bread pan on the oven's center rack.

4. Bake the bread for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown; the bread's internal temperature should be 190 degrees Fahrenheit if you check it with a thermometer.
