Use a scallop shell to make a pretty Christmas ornament.
Turn your beach finds into beautiful Christmas ornaments. Scallop sea shells make one-of-a-kind ornaments. Customize the ornaments and they can be lovely Christmas presents for friends or family members. They also make festive party favors or hostess gifts. Make a simple sea shell ornament that will look pretty on the tree and remind you of happy seaside memories.
Instructions
1. Paint the shell using acrylic craft paint. Use any color you like, but gold and silver are especially pretty for an ornament and look a little more elegant than other colors.
2. Write a message, saying or the date on the shell using a fine paintbrush and black paint, or a black paint pen.
3. Tie a small bow using the piece of tulle, and hot glue it to the bottom part of the shell.
4. Form a loop with the ribbon, and create a hanger for the ornament. Hot glue it onto the back of the curved part of the shell to make the top of the ornament.
5. Allow the ornament to dry thoroughly.
