Live A Healthy Lifestyle With The Right Food

Feed your body right.

Restore your health by giving your diet a complete makeover. Ditch the fast food, processed cookies, caffeine and fat-laden desserts. Instead, feed your body food that has not been tainted with excess sugars, salt or fat. Incorporate raw whole foods into your daily routine and trade our usual bag of potato chips for crunchy banana or apple chips. Changing your diet requires a consistent effort. Stick with the plan and you will soon reap the benefits that come with having a healthy, lean, well nourished body.

Instructions

1. Make a list of all the healthy foods you want to eat. Try to include plenty of whole fruits and vegetables along with lean meats, nuts and seeds on your list. A well balanced diet includes protein, vegetables, nuts and dairy. Only exclude foods that you know you are allergic to.

2. Buy cookbooks that teach you cook healthy dishes. Healthy cookbooks might include heart healthy dishes, organic recipes or raw food recipes.

3. Go to local farmer's markets to find organic produce. You may also be able to find some organic selections in your grocery store. Read labels while you are shopping and avoid buying foods with additives, excess sugar or other chemicals. Focus on mainly buying whole foods and lean meats.

4. Buy healthy fats and oils such as olive oil or coconut oil to cook with rather than processed cheap oils like canola oil or lard. Lard is high in fat and calories while both olive and coconut oil are rich in heart healthy omega-3 fatty acids.

5. Buy whole grain or spinach enriched pasta rather than processed white pasta. Buy organic raw sugar and Himalayan pink salt, rather than traditional table salt. Buy organic ketchup, mustard and other condiments that don't contain high fructose corn syrup.
