The pros to these bins are that they are designed to blend in with your kitchen or home; unfortunately, they are a pricey solution to the pet food storage problem. Rubber Containers and Tubs
Rubber containers can be purchased cheaply at a general goods store. These containers are quite large, so they're best used in an area where you have ample storage and access, such as a garage or shed.
Using a garbage bin for your dog's food storage allows you to store a lot of food at once, however, you'll need to make sure the lid is secure against pets and, if kept outside, wild animals. Many garbage containers come with predrilled holes for adding security solutions such as locks and bungee cords, making this an ideal solution for large dog food purchases.
