Cut A Roast For Stuffing

A roast is a delicious meal anytime.

Everybody loves a good roast, whether it's beef or pork. But many chefs like to take the classic dish a step further by making a customized mixture and stuffing the roast with it before baking. This will allow the flavors of the stuffing to seep into the meat as it cooks and produce a delicious result. If you want to make a stuffed roast, it's very important to know cut it so that the stuffing fits without compromising the roast's shape. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Instructions

1. Hold the roast on a cutting board so that it is laying on its side. If there are bones in the roast, allow them to point directly upward.

2. Slip a long, sharp knife into the side of the roast, gently swishing it up and down to create a 5- to 6-inch-long pocket inside of the roast. Use your fingers to gently pry the meat apart inside the pocket to make more room.

3. Fill the roast with your stuffing of choice, using your fingers to make sure the stuffing is packed tight throughout the pocket.

4. Hold the pocket closed and secure the roast by tying it shut with a few pieces of cooking twine.
