Fry A Beer Burger

Make beer burgers without the grill by frying them on your stove top.

You don't need a grill to indulge in beer burgers. Mixing ground beef and beer may sound messy, but the results are fantastic. As the beer cooks with the meat, the alcohol evaporates, but the flavor of the hops remains and adds a new depth to the flavor of the burger. Use your favorite brew or whatever beer you have on hand to pan-fry delicious burgers on your stove top. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Instructions

1. Mix 1 lb. ground beef, 1/4 cup beer, 1 tbsp. dried minced onion and 1 tbsp. seasoning salt in a large bowl.

2. Form the beef into patties using your hands. Set the patties on a clean plate and season with salt and pepper, if desired.

3. Heat 2 tbsp. butter in a large skillet at a high heat.

4. Place the patties in the pan. Sear each side of the patty for one minute.

5. Reduce the heat to medium high, and cook the burgers for three to four minutes on each side, or until they are done to your liking. Baste the burger with any leftover beer, if desired.

6. Drain the patties on paper towel and serve immediately.
