Make Homemade Cat Food With Rice

Prepare homemade cat food with rice and cooked meat.

Preparing a balanced diet for your feline does not require opening a can of cat food. All natural homemade cat food costs less and has no added preservatives. Since you know all of the ingredients going into your cat's food when you make it yourself, you can ensure the highest quality. As natural carnivores, cats prefer meat, but they also need grains such as rice. Combine rice with meat for a homemade cat food recipe so good that you can enjoy it yourself. As with any homemade diet, consult with your cat's veterinarian to determine if your pet needs additional nutrients or supplements.

Instructions

1. Fill the bowl of the food processor with 1 cup of fully cooked beef or chicken, cubed.

2. Pulse the food processor several times to grind the meat.

3. Add to the food processor bowl 1/2 cup cooked rice, 3/4 cup cottage cheese and 1/2 cup cooked broccoli.

4. Pulse the mixture until the ingredients combine to an even pate-like texture.

5. Feed your cat this cat food each day as directed by your veterinarian, and store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
