Make A Banana Smoothie Without A Blender

You can still make a banana smoothie without the help of a blender.

Aside from being a tasty drink, banana smoothies provide you with a dose of calcium, protein and potassium and a small bit of fiber. They're a suitable beverage to start your day with or to use as a snack or source of energy in the middle of the day. If your blender is broken or you don't have access to one, you can still enjoy this beneficial beverage. While a blender provides an ideal smoothie consistency, you can still come close to this consistency without one. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Instructions

1. Place six ice cubes in the plastic bag, and seal. Wrap the bag in a dish towel, and place it on the floor. Carefully strike the bag with a hammer, crushing the ice cubes. Pour the crushed ice into a large bowl.

2. Peel and cut up a banana on a cutting board. Mash it with a large spoon. Scrape the mashed banana into the large bowl containing the crushed ice.

3. Add the yogurt and milk. Mix with an electric hand mixer until the consistency is smooth. Pour into a large glass.
